Football Transfer Update: Carlos Puyol – “Arsenal haven’t met Cesc’s expectations!”
We all know how Barcelona are trying to recruit the Arsenal captain, Cesc Fabregas. It all started when the Arsenal player publicly admitted that he wanted to play for Barcelona and wanted to win trophies while he is a part of the Spanish team. On the other hand, Arsenal showed lack of interest to sell their “key player” off.
All this started off when Cesc Fabregas told the world that he wanted to go back home and wanted to join his “friends,” in Barcelona. Barcelona, in recent years has been the most successful club. This is because of the fact that that they have made great players that are now famous in the world, as they came from their youth system. The youth system of the Spanish team is simply amazing, as they were able to make players like Iniesta, Xavi and even their amazing right winger, Lionel Messi. Messi and Xavi are both such players who can do wonders for their team. Even with one of them included in the squad, they can seriously change the whole scenario of the team, as most of us have seen them play together and as individuals.
Lionel Messi was the player who was able to lead Argentina to the pre quarter finals, while the amazing midfielders, Xavi Hernandez and Andres Iniesta, helped the Spaniards win the FIFA World Cup 2010. Even though Lionel Messi was not able to score a goal during the FIFA World Cup 2010, he assisted most of the goals that the team was able to produce. On the other hand, Xavi Hernandez was the player who was able to make and complete most of the passes and made a record number of passes played by a player. Andres Iniesta was the man who scored a goal during the extra time of the finals match, which was against the Dutch as the Spaniards won 1-0 to win the trophy for the first time in the history of the game.
Although it was Andres Iniesta who won it for the Spaniards as they were able to score a goal with his help, it was obviously not possible without the amazing Spanish midfielder, Cesc Fabregas. It was Fabregas who played an amazing through ball to the Barcelona man, and it was Fabregas who was the mastermind behind the move. Iniesta made an impressive finish, but Fabregas was the man who was able to give the right ball at the right time. Fabregas, during the FIFA World Cup 2010, was around his Barcelona “friends,” Carlos Puyol, Xavi Hernandez, Gerrard Pique and others. He told the press that it was a dream playing for the Spanish side and it was amazing how he was playing alongside his “friends!”
After the FIFA World Cup 2010, many expected that Fabregas is going to make a move to the Spanish cup but it was Fabregas himself who announced that he was proud to be an Arsenal player. Even though Fabregas told the fans that he is “proud” to be a part of the English club, he was later found in a Barcelona jersey as he was “forced” to wear it.
In recent news, Barcelona failed to buy the English player as Arsenal did not let him leave the club. As Cesc Fabregas is the main man of the squad and the captain of the English team, Gunners can just not let him go; as he has also helped, the Spaniards win the FIFA World Cup 2010. On the other hand, Arsenal wasn’t able to win many trophies alongside Fabregas anyway.
Carlos Puyol, a friend to Fabregas, recently told the press that Arsenal should totally let their man go if he wants to come to Barcelona because, it’s his choice and not there’s. He totally smashed the Gunners by telling them that Fabregas should come and join Barcelona, as they are not coming up to his expectations. In his reply, the Gunners player Denilson pointed out to Carlos Puyol and said that they should leave Fabregas alone, as he is going to remain in Arsenal even after so much that he has said.
