FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup in Germany
Nigeria to face Colombia with full strength - There will be no shortage of capable hands for Nigeria as it faces Colombia in the semi-final of the 2010 FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup in Germany Thursday, as almost all the yell ow cards issued to the African nation's players in their four games so far have been wiped off.
According to the local media, yellow cards issued to Charity Adule, Amarachi Oko ronkwo, Osinachi Ohale and Desire Oparanozie in the matches played so far by the Falconets are no longer in effect, in accord ance with Article 17 and 18 of the Disciplinary Code of FIFA.
The report said, however, that Colombia's Lady Andrade, who received two yellow cards, will be suspended for the match, the first meeting between the two countries and the fifth tie between teams from South America and Africa in the competition.
Nigeria has made history in becoming the first African nation to reach the final four of the FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup.
Africa's other representative at the ongoing tournament, Ghana, did not make it past the group stage.
